Tuition and Other Costs

Notice to prospective students about tuition increase from 2017 fall

AIT-Budapest will gradually increase its tuition in the schedule below to maintain and continuously improve the quality of education and auxiliary services offered to its students and partners. Tuition, unchanged since AIT’s first regular semester began in 2011, will remain at the current level for the 2016 fall and 2017 spring semesters, and will start to increase from 2017 fall as follows (in US Currency):

2016 fall / 2017 spring - $13,000 (unchanged)
2017 fall / 2018 spring - $14,000
2018 fall / 2019 spring - $15,000
2019 fall / 2020 spring onwards - $16,000

Tuition covers participation in AIT courses with individual mentoring by the faculty, and personal attention by the AIT staff (such as airport pick-up, orientation, housing assistance, etc). Students are expected to select academic courses with an average load of 16-20 contact hours a week. While there is no charge for taking heavier loads, loads exceeding 26 contact hours a week are subject to approval.

For the Summer Term, tuition is $3,500 per semester (US Currency) or $3,000 per semester for students who also attend the regular Spring semester beforehand. Summer tuition covers participation in two AIT courses for a total of 6 credits, with individual mentoring by the faculty, and personal attention by the AIT staff (such as airport pick-up, orientation, housing assistance, etc).
